DDA Nurses Quarterly Meeting and WEBINAR - June 27, 2018 at CMRO
| The Nurse Practice act requires the Nurse to assess the need for delegation. This includes screening the ability for a person to take their own meds. Self-medication section from chapter 8 of the MTTP is being moved to the RN case management curriculum. We will review the min. requirements related to evaluating a persons ability to self-medicate. Alco, Alpha, Pharmacare , and Terrapin Pharmacies will be present to share and demonstrate tools they have for advancing the goal of self-medication. This is a webinar, however we encourage you to attend in person to receive the fullest benefit of the on-site demonstrations. The presentation starts at 10 am and ends at 1:00 pm. For Maryland DDA RN CM/DNs: Attendance at this webinar meets the obligation of attending one of two DDA Nurse Meetings as required for continuance as a current and active Maryland DDA RN CM/DN for Fiscal year 2018 (July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018). To obtain credit you must sign in to the webinar and attend for minimally 1 hour. If the RN is attending via phone or in a group ( i.e., not signing into the webinar), the RN must email his/her Regional Nurse within 1 week stating that s/he attended and what was learned. When registering for the webinar, use the email address with which you will sign-in to participate in the webinar. This is critical so that you get credit for attending. |
