Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative and End-of-Life Care (LEAP) Mini - Toronto

LEAP Mini is led by Pallium Canada’s Certified Facilitators who are experienced palliative care clinicians and educators.

Registration: 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
Workshop: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Program Description:

In a one day course, Pallium Canada’s LEAP Mini offers a broad introduction to the essential, basic competencies of the palliative care approach. LEAP Mini covers:

  • Taking ownership
  • Advance Care Planning & Decision-Making
  • Nausea, Hydration & Nutrition
  • Pain
  • Dyspnea
  • Essential Conversations
  • Psychological distress
  • Delirium
  • Last days and hours

This Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 16.5 Mainpro+ credits. For more information about Pallium Canada, please visit www.pallium.ca.

Requirements: The workshop materials are downloadable from the Pallium portal. After completing your registration, you will need to create an account on the Pallium portal using the instructions provided in your registration confirmation email. Please ensure that you bring a laptop/tablet or your own copy of the materials for your reference during the workshop. Hard-copies of the materials will not be available on-site. 

FEE: $465.00 plus HST

This workshop is being hosted as a collaboration between the OCFP and Pallium Canada. 

The OCFP reserves the right to cancel sessions due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient advance registration. In the event of a cancellation made by the OCFP, a full refund will be given to the registrants. However, the OCFP cannot accept responsibility for out-of-pocket expenses due to cancellation of a session. Cancellations made more than 15 business days prior to the date of the event will be refunded, less a 25% administration fee. No refunds will be provided after this deadline.
