9th Annual
National Convening
on Personalized Learning

Think Like a Start-up

The Institute's annual convening is an opprotunity for educators to come together to discuss emerging best practices, lessons learned, and introduce new topics or aspects of personalized learning. Don't miss this premier event on personalized learning!

This year’s theme is Think Like a Start-up. Start-ups are often the leaders in industry-disruptive innovation. We chose this theme because we see our work, and the work of our districts, as disruptive innovation in the field of education -- fundamentally shifting our paradigm and the way we “do business” (i.e., educating learners).

Participants will hear from speakers with proven models and expertise in start-up businesses. Break-outs will feature expert educator practitioners with deep experience in personalized learning.

Sessions this year will focus on components of developing a start-up mentality, such as:

  • Developing entrepreneurial skills in both educators and students
  • Personal success skills
  • Failing forward and learning from mistakes
  • Dealing with uncertainty
  • Developing learner agency

Visit our Convening website for more information!

Registration begins at 8:00 am on November 14th and 15th
Program to begin at 8:30 am
