"There is no real conversation without vulnerability"
                                                                                 -David Whyte

To reference the David Whyte quote above--not only is there no real conversation without vulnerability, there is no real love without vulnerability.  Love without vulnerability is not love.  It is a mental construction of calculated strategies, but it is not love.
The vulnerable heart is the juice of life--the oxygen that nourishes the bloodstream of our loving. Without vulnerability, our love is like a fish without water--dead.

We have a choice: "to make another the object of our mind or the subject of our heart."
                                                                          --Stephen Levine

In this weekend retreat we will be exploring the relationship
between love and vulnerability.  Why as men are we so stubbornly resistant to vulnerability.  Why do we resist vulnerability in our relationships with our mates, our children, and our friends?
We will find the strength, inspiration, and safety to be vulnerable with each other to the degree we desire.  We will share stories, poems, song, and drumming.  We will follow our souls' desire to engage in brotherhood and community.

Please join us as this wild-hearted tribe of men come together to reclaim LOVE AND VULNERABILITY.

THE SEVEN STREAMS

Let your vulnerabilities
walking on the cracked sliding limestone,
be this time, not a weakness,
but a faculty for understanding
what's about to happen
