Anatomy for Artists
Students will learn the underlying structure of the human figure in order to construct dynamic drawings of people.  We will draw from and analyze anatomical references and master works of art, then use these studies to create imagined figures in motion.  Students will gain a greater understanding of the basic shapes of the body and how to add life to their drawings.

Topics will include:

Day 1: Gesture and cresting a sense of motion

Day 2: The Skeleton and Skull

Day 3: Shading and contour:  More than just bumps and lumps!  Muscle structures and construction of the arms, legs, hands and feet.

Day 4:  Balance and weight. Using basic perspective in the figure

*Minimum class size of three students, maximum 10 students. Discounts available for siblings.
