Beginning Quilt Class, Session 3

Tuition is $90. The textbook, materials and tools are not included in this price. The textbook we will be using is "Make Your First Quilt," by Alex Anderson. All materials and tools purchased by students from Charmed Needles LLC for use in this class will be discounted 10% off regular price.
For 2½ hours on each of six Thursday Evenings, you will learn how and will make a quilt from start to finish. There will be a total of 15 hours of class time. Topics covered will include:
Introduction to tools and fabric basics
Using a rotary cutter
Reading a pattern
Using a ruler and cutting mat
Sewing pieces together
Making the quilt top
Adding borders
Choosing batting
Making the quilt sandwich
Basting, marking and quilting the quilt
Binding and labeling the quilt
The class sessions will be Thursday evenings, 6 pm - 8:30 pm, May 10 - June 14.
Children are welcome and invited to enroll in this class. Children under the age of 13 must have a parent or guardian present at all times. The parent or guardian does not have to enroll in the class; however, if the parent wishes to participate in the class, the parent must also pay the full class fees.
Students will need to bring their own sewing machine to class. In order to finish your quilt in this time frame, you will need to do some sewing at home between class sessions.
Class is limited to five students.
