Please use the building entrance closest to the parking lot and look for the Queenswood/Arbutus rooms on the ground floor.
UVic is on several public transit routes and Cadboro Commons is not far from the loop at which all of the buses stop.
Because the Buddha's teachings are considered to be priceless, and in keeping with the teachings and spirit of generosity or dana, this retreat is freely offered. Donations are welcomed.
There will be two dana baskets set out at the retreat. One basket will be for you to offer dana for Tisarana Monastery and a separate basket for organizational costs incurred by Victoria IMS. The suggested donation for organizational costs for this two-day event is $40. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

The Victoria Insight Meditation Society is honoured to have Ajahn Viradhammo visit our community. We thank Sobhana Hippoli of Cortes Island for inviting Ajahn to Vancouver Island.
Ajahn Viradhammo is a senior monk in the Thai Forest Tradition. He is the abbot of Tisarana Monastery in Perth, Ontario. Ajahn Viradhammo grew up in Toronto. In 1974 he ordained in Thailand with Ajahn Chah at Wat Pah Pong Monastery. He was involved in the establishment of both the Chithurst and Harnham Monasteries in the UK as well as the Bodhinyanarama Monastery in New Zealand where he was the abbot before returning to Canada.You will receive a confirmation email
