NEFLIN Children's Services Interest Group (8/31/18) 

This quarter, the Children's Services East Interest Group will be meeting at the St. Johns County Main Library in St.Augustine.  Come join your Children's Services colleagues on Friday, August 31st, for a day of learning and sharing.  

Morning Program: Hidden Gems and Oldies but Goodies

Let’s talk books!  Please bring books for a variety of ages that are hidden gems or oldies but goodies.  Hidden gems are those books that you love and think everyone should read but that no one has ever heard of.  Oldies but goodies are the books you love that have stood the test of time.  If everyone brings a minimum of three books (and yes, please bring the actual, physical book if at all possible) just think how many new titles we will go home with, not to mention honing our book talk skills.  Summer is so busy and active.  Let’s take a day to pause and reconnect with our favorite books and colleagues.

The afternoon will be the time for us to share our ups and downs and our successes and challenges.  Please join us!

Please Note:  The Children's Services East Interest Group serves the counties of Marion, Putnam, Clay, Duval, St. Johns, Nassau, Flagler, Volusia, and Brevard. However, any NEFLIN member is welcome to attend meetings of the Children's Services West group, as well.

Jenny Ransone has been employed with the Marion County Public Library System for eight years. Jenny has been a Children’s Services librarian and the Circulation manager before being promoted to her current position. Jenny began her library career in Greenwood, Indiana where she managed a library based volunteer literacy program.
