REGISTRATION PROCESS
Please read the following two-step registration process carefully. Below you will find general information about the program--if you haven't already read it, please do so before registering.
Step 1: Complete the online registration by clicking the "Register Now!" button below. Please NOTE: This registration page is for RETURNING students only--if you are the parents of a TRANSFER or CATHOLIC SCHOOL STUDENT or registering for Confirmation 1, please leave this page and visit the registration page particular to your situation.
Step 2: Attend a Mandatory Confirmation Orientation Meeting to hand in paperwork, payment and receive more detailed information about Confirmation 2 Requirements and Curriculum.
***NOTE: If you are registering more than one child for CONFIRMATION CLASSES (not religious ed in general--for Kinder-8th grade see Mike Wickham), then you must complete this online registration for EACH child. If both children are Confirmation 2, you will need to use a different email address to sign in for the second child. Once you register one child, simply return to this site and begin the process again, starting with a different email address to sign in. If your second child is in Confirmation 1, be sure to go back to the homepage and register in the Confirmation 1 Registration Page (Conf 1 and 2 have separate registration pages this year).
General Information about the Program:
Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is two years. Students will receive this final Sacrament of Initiation upon successful completion of the two year program and the student’s personal request to be Confirmed in the Catholic Church.
Program Requirements
Confirmation Classes take place from end of August/Sept – May on Sunday nights from 6PM-8PM. Class is approximately twice a month (you will receive a calendar at the orientation meeting with all class dates--typically class is every other Sunday, but some months are atypical. Please note: this calendar is subject to change). In addition to class attendance, students must also attend an additional 5 Corpus Christi youth ministry events per Confirmation year (A list will be available at the parent orientation meeting - This includes, but is not limited, to youth nights, youth rallies, youth conferences, Stations of the Cross, and other youth events held at and outside of church WITH Corpus Christi) These can be completed at any time, but it is recommended to do 2 youth events per semester and to NOT wait until the last minute. Additional Confirmation requirements: A day-long retreat for Confirmation 1 and weekend retreat for Confirmation 2, 20 service hours PER YEAR, other written assignments distributed at Confirmation classes and final exit interview and petition letter (Exit interviews will occur between March-April).
PLEASE NOTE: The Confirmation 2 Retreat is Jan. 4-6th, 2019. Students who are not in the Sweetwater District schedule must request for early dismissal on Friday, Jan. 4th and/or request an early dismissal letter from my AT LEAST 4 weeks before our departure for retreat. Request these early! Don't wait till the last minute. Also, please plan all trips ahead! Absence from Corpus Christi's Confirmation retreat will result in your child needing to complete a makeup retreat at a different parish.

Do I have to re-register for 2nd year if I just completed 1st year?
YES, 2nd year students must register online AND parents only must attend a mandatory orientation meeting. Parents do not need to bring copies of their Baptismal and Communion Certificates as long as these were handed in last year. You will bring the Conf 2 Retreat Permission Slip to the meeting, as well as payment.
If I attend a Catholic School do I have to complete the full two year program?
If I am in Catholic School and would like to attend the full 2 year program am I able to do so?
Yes, you are welcome to attend the full program. However, once you have chosen to start with first year, you must complete both years in order to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. If you choose this option, then please register on the Confirmation 1 Registration page (you are currently on the 2nd year page).
What is the date of the MANDATORY 2nd Year Confirmation Retreat?
This year it is January 4th-6th, 2019

What if my child has not yet received Baptism and/or First Holy Communion but is in high school and would like to be Confirmed?
Please indicate this on the online registration form and your child will be placed in a program to receive additional instruction and preparation for First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation (Confession). For unbaptized teens, your child will receive all Sacraments together at Easter Vigil Mass: Saturday, April 20th, 2019 - time TBD. If your child is already baptized then they will receive First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in April or May of 2019(Date tbd), after completion of 5 additional 1.5 hour long sacramental preparation sessions. It will also be necessary that teens are mentally and spiritually prepared/willing to receive their Sacraments. (A schedule for these will be sent out at the beginning of October and may include certain Youth Nights.)
