Honor Awards
Call for Nominations 

The AIA WMR Honor Awards recognize significant achievements by AIA WMR members and allies who share the common cause of creating an excellent built environment. Nominations are now being accepted. To enter, fill out a nomination form today! Fee per entry is $75. Nomination forms and entries must be received by July 23, 2018.

The categories for the Honor Awards are listed below. Please click on the highlighted award links to download PDF decriptions of eligibility and entry requirements:

The Silver Medal
This is the highest honor presented by the Western Mountain Region. The Silver Medal recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the Institute, the profession and the citizens of the Western Mountain Region, their community, and who has transcended local boundaries in making these contributions.  

Architectural Firm of the Year Award
This award recognizes the continuing collaboration among individuals in a firm who have produced distinguished architecture over a period of at least 10 years, and have made significant contributions to the Institute, the profession and their community, and have transcended their local boundaries in making these contributions.  

AIA10 Award
This award recognizes those individuals who, at an early stage of their architectural career, have shown exceptional leadership in design, education and/or service to the profession.

Award of Distinction 
This award recognizes those individuals and organizations outside the AIA membership category of Architect, who have recorded, illustrated or contributed to a better understanding and interpretation of awareness of architecture in the Western Mountain Region.

Twenty-Five Year Award
This award recognizes a built structure that has significantly influenced design and lifestyle in the Western Mountain Region.

"Any architect desiring to promote or be promoted by the AIA/Western Mountain Region through awards programs, publications, speaking engagements, elected or appointed office, or admission to Fellowship, must declare that he/she or his/her firm does not employ unpaid AXP participants in their professional practice, an AXP candidate being defined as an architecture graduate prior to licensure, a working architecture student, or an architecture student working for credit."
