What are the key elements of improvement planning and how do they relate to Continuous Improvement? 

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

Participants will:

  • Develop an understanding of how to leverage the state improvement planning process in support of a continuous improvement model to engage schools in accomplishing their improvement efforts and CAN work, ultimately improving the outcomes for Adams County
  • Understand the multiple puposes, key terminology, and critical aspects of the UIP process and identify connections to continuous improvement processes
  • Have support in making real time modification and clarifications to your existing UIPs with coaching support

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

District administrators, school administrators, building leadership teams, and CAN members who are working in schools.

ARE THERE ANY PREREQUISITES?

Nope! This workshop is built so you can jump right in!

IS THERE A COST TO ATTEND?

This session is FREE for all organizations serving Adams County Youth and ACYI Partners. For Out-of-county organizations and non-ACYI partners, please contact ACYI for details. These fees help ACYI cover the cost of the participant's participation, including food, materials, and space. Pen and notepad to take notes with. Documents created during pre-work coaching. We will provide breakfast and lunch!

FACILITATED BY?

Erin Loften, Professional Development Coordinator – Improvement Planning, Colorado Department of Education


Erin works in the Improvement Planning office at CDE.  She supports districts, schools and various educational stakeholders in continuous improvement processes and meeting accountability expectations through planning. She has worked in schools, non-profits and higher education and has a master’s degree in Ed Psych-Research and Evaluation.   Her professional passion is finding ways to connect work that is valuable to stakeholders and making planning work meaningful.
