Please join LEAD Maryland Alumni on July 11th, 2018 for a workshop to learn  how farmers can be involved in shaping legislation at the local, state, and federal levels. LEAD Alumni, LEAD Class X and registered guests are welcome to attend. Lunch is included in the registration fee. Please register to attend. Space is limited.

Topics include:

  • Why it is important to know the local legislative landscape;
  • How to connect with local groups advocating for agriculture;
  • Connecting with legislators;
  • How to defend your right to farm;
  • Tips for giving a speech of public testimony;

Registration is 8:00 - 9:00am, with the first speaker begining at 9:00am.
