Enhancing Dementia Care through Collaboration

Join us for a public lecture to introduce the new Schlegel Research Chair in Dementia and Aging, Dr. Carrie McAiney. Refreshments will be served following the presentation.

The projected increase in the number of individuals living with dementia provides an opportunity to change the way we think about and approach dementia care. The opportunity to make important, lasting changes to dementia care, services and supports can best be achieved through collaboration with persons living with dementia, family care partners, providers, advocacy groups, policy makers, and researchers.

During the presentation Dr. McAiney will share examples of collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing care experiences for persons living with dementia, family care partners and staff/team members.

Please note parking for this event is a short 5 minute walk from the building. Accessible parking is available out front. You will receive an email prior to the event confirming directions and parking details.
