Please join the ASCE Acadiana Branch for our May meeting for 1 PDH opportunity. A presentation will be given by Venu Tammineni, P.E., on "Geotechnical Aspects of a Marsh Creation in Coastal Louisiana". Guests are welcome. Free for Students.
Mr. Tammineni graduated from the Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio with a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering. He is a registered professional engineering in multiple states and is a board member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Baton Rouge branch and also the Coasts, Oceans, Ports and Rivers Institute Baton Rouge Branch. He currently works with S&ME in their Baton Rouge, Louisiana office providing geotechnical engineer services for coastal projects. He is passionate about protecting and restoring the Gulf coast. In addition to consulting, Mr. Tammineni has a keen interest on better understanding the behavior of peat and high organic soil.
