Rebel With a Cause: William Penn and Philadelphia: A Repeat

William Penn's Philadelphia: Challenging Intolerance Since 1660.

Two-hour gentle walking tour that explores Penn's vision for an egalitarian society. FitC's fifth Penn tour--those who went on the previous ones found it intriguing!

Follow William Penn's journey from Anglican gentleman  to Quaker founder for religious freedom and civil liberties in a new world.

Find out how he settled Philadelphia without firing a single shot and without  building a wall.

Our docent, Elise Bromberg, keeps her groups small so there can be an interactive, relaxed experience. Only 11 can register.

The walk is only several blocks, with two stops inside buildings along the way.

Thanks to FitC member Mark Curchack for setting up these tours...and thanks to FitC member Jill Raich for organizing the June tour.

Tours open only to FitC members.

Click here to Register  Cost is $13: $12 for tour, $1 for FitC costs.
