If you are driving, validated discounted parking is available at One Beacon Garage . The Boston Common Garage is nearby and a convenient walk to the Cathedral. Carpooling is encouraged.

As your new Missioner for Networking and Formation, I want to personally invite you to the Ministry Network Showcase on September 22^nd.

I envision the day to be an exciting step in our diocesan commitment tostrengthen our capacity to directly connect in collaborative mission. In the short time I’ve been here with you I have learned that congregations all over the diocese are engaged in exciting and innovative ministries. Some are long standing, some newly formed, and others that are just the spark of an idea to fulfill a community need. It is the sharing of these ministries that that will enrich our work together and forge ever stronger ties with one another.

We are also committed to creating opportunities for building relationships between congregations, parishioners, clergy and diocesan staff. In that spirit we are proud to offer this opportunity to network with others in shared ministry. Learn about their strategies for success and how they have addressed challenges; apply their wisdom to your own work, solicit advice or offer your own expertise. Gather a group together over lunch and decide to form a new collaboration around an area of similar interest or join a network already formed that you hadn’t realized was engaged in the type of work you care about.

The Ministry Network Showcase affords us the opportunity to hear the stories of ministries in a way we haven’t heard them before, and a professional production company will be there to record it all!

I can’t wait to meet you. Come ready to be inspired!
