Being "College and Career Ready" is the Department of Public Instruction's (DPI) goal for all students and that includes students with disabilities. This workshop will explore the College and Career Ready - IEP (CCR-IEP) process as well as the revised IEP forms. Participants will learn about the 5-step process that IEP teams can use when developing or revising a student's IEP. The workshop will focus on how families and students can be engaged in the process by understanding the CCR-IEP process, knowing what questions to ask, sharing their expertise and knowledge, and communicating with school staff on an ongoing basis. Communication and advocacy tips will be shared. Participants will leave with a variety of resources and strategies to use and share with others.
