Wilson® Reading System (WRS)
Introductory Workshop

Groves Academy is a Wilson® Accredited Partner

This 15-hour (3 day) workshop provides an overview of the Wilson Reading System (WRS) curriculum and serves as the prerequisite for WRS certification. At the completion of the workshop, attendees will be able to:

• Define dyslexia and describe common characteristics 
• Understand WRS principles of instruction and how WRS materials facilitate multisensory, interactive learning
• Identify the lesson parts for Blocks 1, 2, and 3 of the lesson plan
• Write a lesson plan 

If you will be teaching the Wilson Reading System, it is strongly recommended that you purchase an Introductory Set on Wilson’s website

Cost: $495/person for workshop 

Please register by September 4, 2018.

Important Information: 

• This is a 3-day training from September 17-19, 2018. You must attend all 3 days to receive your certification. 
• One graduate credit will be available for $110 through Viterbo University, with an additional check of $40 payable to CESA #1, which will be due and payable the first day of the workhsop.  More information will be provided on the first day of training.
