This quick-course in essential lighting controls and strategy will save energy and help you achieve electrical code compliance.  Our speaker, Rick Miller, PE LEED AP, will cover strategies related to:

• Occupancy and vacancy sensing
• Daylight harvesting
• Scheduling
• Lumen maintenance dimming, adaptation compensation and tuning
• Demand response
• Architectural dimming and direct occupant control  

Examples of switches, relays, continuous dimming and step dimming will also be discussed. Additionally, Rick also will touch on the key requirements that every facility manager should know regarding the electrical code.  This is a can’t miss course!

Our Presenter:  

Rick Miller, PE LEED AP is a lead consultant and owner of RNM Engineering.  Rick has 30 years of experience designing electrical and lighting systems for hotels, hospitals, prisons, airports, offices, labs and industrial facilities. He was the principal co-author of the California Advanced Lighting Control Training Program (CALCTP) and has over 15 years of experience educating facility managers on Title 24 energy code as it relates to lighting controls and its paperwork process. Rick holds a BS Engineering Physics, University of Michigan, a MS Architectural Engineering, University of Colorado and is a NCQLP Title 24 Lighting Control Acceptance Test Technician.
