13th Annual Walk for

Suicide Awareness & Prevention

Please join us and hundreds of mental health champions on Saturday, September 8th, for MHA's 13th annual There is Hope ~ Suicide Awareness & Prevention event.

Together, we can make a difference in suicide prevention. Walk 2, 3, or 4 miles along beautiful Lake Michigan to support suicide prevention and mental health. Join together with other families who have lost loved ones to suicide or join in as a mental health champion to show your support.  Enjoy a brat fry, silent auction, raffles, LIVE music, craft/art activities & more! Proceeds benefit MHA's programs that work to promote good mental health & MHA's suicide prevention efforts.

Opening Ceremony Speaker:  Mary VanHaute

A suicide prevention trainer and author, Mary combines her education and lived experience into her passion to reduce death by suicide in our communities.   She welcomes the chance to meet other survivors of suicide loss in order to grow through our shared experiences and give a voice to the stories of those we lost.  She and her husband live in Clearwater, FL, but have roots in Wisconsin and San Antonio, TX, where her daughters, sons-in-law, and five beautiful grand babies reside.
