How do you, as a funder, exercise public leadership beyond grantmaking to create catalytic change?

Community Foundation of Tompkins County hosts a conversation to consider this question and others.

Do you want to ensure that your grantmaking is leaving a lasting positive legacy that makes the world a better place? Do you care about marginalized communities and want to more effectively advance justice and equity? Do you value community engagement and community-centered solutions?

Traditional assessments often overlook a unique aspect of true and lasting impact: how grantmakers use their power to achieve their goals.

Join others for a peer discussion and presentation on an exciting new resource from the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy (NCRP), Power Moves:Your essential philanthropy assessment guide for equity and justice, that helps grantmakers examine how well they build, share, and wield power.

Lisa Ranghelli, senior director of assessment and special projects, will lead attendees through an interactive conversation designed to support peer learning and provide practical tools.

Grounded in 40 years of research on strategic social justice philanthropy and the innovative foundation assessment initiative, Philamplify, the free sector resource is available for download at

Funders of all types and sizes are welcome to attend. Seats are limited. Please RSVP below.
