Human Beings Think in Story

In business or in life, those who tell the best story have the greatest chance for success!

Business Transactions are not just exchanges of material goods and services – they are exchanges of NARRATIVES. In business, we participate in a series of exchanges–and what we are exchanging before we get down to business - are our stories.

Before we consider, negotiate or buy, we accept some story about a product or service. In every transaction, knowing what those stories are, how to construct them, and where they belong are critical to your success.

In this workshop by Influence Ecology Co-Founder Kirkland Tibbels, participants will learn what these stories are, where they belong in transactions, and how to apply them right away.

Kirkland Tibbels is co-founder and chairman of Influence Ecology—an international education company specializing in the field of transactional competence. Kirkland and his colleagues comprise an international collective of professionals who are active in the development of the philosophy of Transactionalism and the discipline of transactional competence. He is considered a leading philosopher and authority in the field, having published and contributed to the only comprehensive text on the subject,Transactionalism: An Historical and Interpretive Study by Trevor J. Phillips, and he has authored more than 500 papers on the subject, study, and discipline. He is a sought-after lecturer at universities, major corporations, and civic organizations around the world.

Launched in 2009, Influence Ecology is headquartered in Ventura, CA. Additional faculty resides in Australia, New Zealand, London, Singapore, and the United States. Kirkland is married and lives in Ventura, California.
