Expanding Your Bliss Body with the Lalita Sahasranama

(The 1000 Names of the Goddess)

 The Lalita Sahasranama, the “1000 Names of the Divine Mother,” is a Sanskrit chant that replicates the entire universe in sound form. To chant these names, therefore, is to attune your nervous system to the primal forces at play in the universe—and to awaken the divine qualities of the Goddess within you.

Chanting the “1000 Names of the Divine Mother” daily profoundly heals all grief and emotional pain. Its beautiful sounds attract material well-being and fulfillment. And within the meaning of each name, one attains transformational wisdom.

Join yogini and Sanskrit scholar, Dr. Katy Jane in a deep exploration of the first 108 names of the Lalita Sahasranama. In this immersion in Sanskrit chanting, you’ll learn:

  • The art and science of chanting mantra according to the Sri Vidya tradition;
  • An exploration of Vedic & Sri Vidya teachings of the Goddess;
  • The meaning and application of the first 108 mantras to your own yoga & chanting practice.
  • AN introduction to the practice of nyasa which correlates with Devi. It is a systematic way to embed the Divine Mother into the practitioner's body through mantra (Sanskrit sounds) and mudra (hand gestures).

At the end of the immersion, you’ll gain:

  • A beautiful new daily practice to cleanse your mind & emotions;
  • A tool to deepen your devotion and;
  • A way to awaken & enliven your nervous system for higher states of meditation.

Anyone can join the immersion, though it’s recommended (but not required) that you have some prior exposure to Sanskrit.

The immersion will be held IN-PERSON and REMOTELY via ZOOM. (The classes will be held live via Zoom for distance students and recorded so if you can’t make the live sessions you can watch them later.)
