We will start our day by sculpting a Halloween pumpkin person.  I will show you, step by step, how to sculpt these with ease even if you’ve never sculpted before.  Once we have sculpted our beautiful pumpkins then we will set them aside to dry and we will paint, antique and dress the pumpkin person I have pre-sculpted for you.  You will leave class with a finished pumpkin piece and your own sculpted piece for you to finish up at home once it is dry. Once you finish your second piece at home you will have one to keep and one to share.  Or 2 to keep!!

Supplies:

Sleeves-8 inches of 1 inch(ish) wide lace, ribbon or trim

Collar-12 inches of 1 inch(ish) wide lace, ribbon or trim

Skirt-Approximately 4 inch x 1 yard of fabric or lace.  Thinner fabrics work best. Cottons won’t gather as tight as a thinner fabric but they can be used.  

Both samples have 2 layers of skirt fabric.  If you desire this look then double the amount of fabric mentioned above.

Lace, ribbon or trim to decorate hat, if desired

Thread to match fabric

Glue like Aleene’s tacky glue or Fabri-tac

Medium soft flat brush

Thin short liner brush

Sewing needles

Fabric scissors

Paper scissors

Sculpting tools ***

A couple of small old rags to wipe antiquing gel
