Art Journaling

with James Luke Burke

Saturday, August 11th

10:00 am to 2:00 pm

$115

Trying to define what art journaling is for me is near impossible, mainly because I have chosen for it to mean ANYTHING I want it to mean. My journals have become Creative wells that I fill with my daily expressions. It could be a simple illustration or photo documentation of my life... vented words, affirming quotes, supplies test pages, papercraft experiments, weekly planning, scribbles, just anything... They fill up with all kinds of creative expressions and overflow from one journal to another.

Together we will have a look into what art journaling can be for you, putting together a double page spread from my "On a Loop" workshop tutorial. We will look into all the tips and tricks I have picked up over time that help me free up in my journals, exercising our imaginations in the process. The Art Journaling workshop is an in-depth look at my passion for creating in journals. I'll also have a collection of my completed and in-process art journals at the workshop for you to look through!

In this workshop you will be provided with a jlbCREATIVE "CLASS COMPANION - art journaling" booklet for reference. These are a workshop exclusive that detail templates we might use in class, collage pieces for you to cut out and use, as well as information you might want to refer back to once the workshop is complete and you're creating back at home.
