IFMA-SD Tour: Palomar College South Education Campus Project

Are you interested in how our next generation of students, who will be entering the work force and your facility, are learning and working today?  This one of a kind tour is of an existing four story ‘spec building’ renovation by Palomar College Facility Team and HMC Architects to address the current needs of Active Learning.  You’ll have an opportunity to see not only higher education classroom applications and brand, but also learning labs, student collaboration lounges, STEM, library, along with public and outdoor meeting areas.

Our Tour Guide:  Dennis Astl, Manager of Construction and Facilities Planning at PalomarCollege,isresponsible for oversight of the District’s $694M Prop M bond program that is updating the District’s 50- year old facilities.  Dennis’ primary responsibilities include determining the appropriate delivery method for each project and the over site of the RFQ/RFP process for all projects as well as supervision of the project design and construction and managing the end of the user’s expectations.

  • San Diego Chapter Members - complimentary
  • Prospective Professional Member (Facility Managers Only - First time only)
  • Biocom Members - complimentary for the first five Biocom Members
  • Colleagues & Non Members (Vendors & Suppliers) - $15 per person

Non Member Fee:   Membership, in IFMA and the San Diego Chapter, is on an individual basis (not by company).  Therefore, to be considered a member and not charged to attend meeting/events, you (individually) have to be listed in the chapter membership records.  These records are provided to us by IFMA Headquarters.  Any discrepancies or changes must be resolved with the Membership Department at IFMA.  Please contact them at 713-623-4362 or ifma@ifma.org

Cancellations: Due to rising catering costs, cancellations MUST be received a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the event to receive a full refund.  Those making a reservation, but not attending the event/meeting (“No shows”) will be charged a $15 No-Show fee.
