Option 1: Charitable Giving: How to Build Your Impact
Tony Oomman, VP, Charitable Planning Consultant, Fidelity Charitable
Mandee Pope, Financial Consultant, Fidelity Investments

Kathrine Wunderli-Bastian, Branch Service Manager, Fidelity Investments

Discuss ways that non-profits can partner with donor advised funds/financial advisors, to increase their reach to donors/potential donors.
Option 2: Matures to Boomers: What Planned Giving Officers Need to Know
Nathan Stelter, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing, The Stelter Company
Learn information gleaned from the 2017 Natural Marketing Institute’s Healthy Aging Database study how Matures (born 1900-1945) and Baby Boomers (born 1946-1964) share similarities and where they differ significantly in attitude and behaviors that can drive decisions regarding planned giving.
We’ll look at sources of influence, technology use patterns and key generational differences in financial planning between Matures and Boomers and suggest ways that nonprofits can take advantage of these findings by incorporating them into more targeted communications.
10:45 – 11:45 AM BREAK-OUT SESSIONS
Option 1: The Role of Your Organization’s Leadership in Promoting Planned Giving
Chad Bauman and Chuck Rosewicz, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre
Angela Mancuso and Ann Marie Moss, Women’s Center of Waukesha County
Moderated by Emily Capelle, President, Planned Giving Council of Eastern Wisconsin
Hear from senior leaders involved in planned giving. Learn how they cultivate and steward planned giving donors and determine staffing patterns and roles in managing a planned giving program. They will provide insight about challenges and opportunities facing their planned giving programs.
Option 2: Tapping Into Charitable Gifts from Retirement Plans and IRAs
Kathy Lambert, Lambert Law LLC
One result of the increased standard deduction under the 2017 tax reform legislation is that far fewer taxpayers will take advantage of any charitable deductions on their tax returns. Fortunately, for individuals over the age of 70 ½ , IRAs still offer a tax-efficient strategy for making charitable gifts. However, the rules are detailed and strict. This session offers an opportunity to learn what options are available to individual donors—and what your organization’s responsibilities are to ensure the gift receives favorable tax treatment.
11:45 AM – 12:30 PM SPONSOR SHOWCASE
