Bystander Intervention Strategies to Break the Cycle of Silence

Presenter: Lucy Rios - Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence

Cost: $20
Free for members

In the era of #MeToo, many of us are asking what we can do to change the culture of violence in order to prevent abuse. As concerned community members, parents, and colleagues, we have been moved by the powerful stories shared by survivors, and we want to do our part to cultivate environments where everyone can thrive without the fear or threat of violence. In order to create this reality, we need prepared and engaged bystanders. In this workshop, we will explore safe, creative ways to intervene when we witness or suspect abuse, and share resources geared toward supporting bystanders to say and do something.
