Digging Deeper: Working on Domestic Violence Cases Within DCYF

Presenter: Kimberly Demers - Blackstone Valley Advocacy Center

Cost: $20
Free for members

This training will help participants gain a deeper understanding of the DCYF system and how DCYF handles domestic violence cases. We will discuss different levels of DCYF’s infrastructure and break down the jargon that DCYF uses when referring to cases. During this training, participants will learn about Rhode Island’s Safe Families Collaboration Project and how domestic violence advocates play a crucial role in the domestic violence cases that involve DCYF. By the conclusion of this training, attendees will know more about working with the family advocates in order to best serve their clients.
