OCEAN RACING!!!
Learn How to Race on Big Boats

MMA and Storm Trysail Foundation are holding a day-long seminar
based on Safety-at-Sea Seminars required of the crews of all yachts
participating in ocean races such as the Bermuda Race,
the Halifax Race, and the Trans Atlantic Race.
This seminar is for young sailors who want to learn to race and cruise on big boats.

There will be approximately 12 ocean racer/cruiser yachts
of various designs taking part in our Junior Safety-at Sea Seminar.
If you want to participate, you will be part of the crew of 6-12 other juniors
with a captain, and a coach on each boat.

NEW &
EXCITING TO THE PROGRAM!!

  • Our Guest Speakers at the seminar this year will include teenagers who
recently competed, as part of the youngest crew ever, to race Newport/Bermuda.

  • We will have a “big-boat” race in the afternoon.
The Gulf of Maine Ocean Racing Association recognizes the event
as a “regatta of interest” in which all sailboats are invited to compete.

After the race will be an awards cookout/crew-match party.
