WMRO - Mandt Instructor Training
August 6, 7, 8, 9, 2018
Maryland is very excited to implement the Mandt System as part of the DDA transformation. Over the next 24 months, there will be a steady transition to the Mandt System to allow the transition from Behavior Principles and Strategies (BPS). The first step is training new Mandt instructors. It will also include training direct support professionals on the new curriculum and revising behavior plans to reflect the new language and philosophy.
This Training is only open to DDA licensed agency staff. If you are a Director please consider staff who would make good candidates for teaching the Mandt System. Please follow the process below, and use the registration link to submit your candidate's information.
1. Consider your current BPS trainer as the preferred candidate, as he or she will be more familiar with much of the material.
2. Select one person to attend. If your organization employs more than 200 people, you may select two instructors. The goal is to provide an opportunity for each agency.
3. Support their attendance by ensuring they attend all four days.
One to two weeks prior to the class your Regional Professional Development Coordinator will send a confirmation to your candidate (see contacts to the left). Sessions are limited to only 22 people; if the session is filled, we will contact you about the next available session. Manuals will be provided for trainers, and student manuals are available to purchase or copy.
