Pyramid Model - Infant/ Toddler Module
This training will have three parts which will be held on October 1st, 15th and 29th from 9-5 at the Child Care Resource Network. Please plan for lunch on your own. An hour break will be provided.
Infant Toddler Modules: The infant toddler modules are designed for professional development providers and teachers, home visitors, caregivers, family child care providers who work with infants and toddlers (birth - three years of age)
Infant Toddler Module 1: Social Emotional Development Within the Context of Relationships (6.5 hours)
- Topic 1: Understanding Social Emotional Development (90 min)
- Topic 2: Understanding Behavior & Making Sense of What You See and Hear (120 min)
- Topic 3: Forming and Sustaining Relationships with Young Children (120 min)
- Topic 4: Working with Families to Support Infant and Young Children's Social Emotional Development (60 min)
Infant Toddler Module 2: Responsive Routines, Environments and Targeted Strategies to Support Social Emotional Development in Infants and Toddlers (6 hours)
- Topic 1: Social Emotional Climate in Infant Toddler Care Settings (110 min)
- Topic 2: High Quality Supportive Environments, including schedules, responsive routines, and individual caregiving (130 min)
- Topic 3: Targeted Strategies to Build Social Emotional Skills (120 min)
Infant Toddler Module 3: Individualized Intervention with Infants and Toddlers: Determining the Meaning of Behavior and Developing Appropriate Responses (6 hours)
- Topic 1: What is Challenging Behavior (45 min)
- Topic 2: A Relationship-based Approach to Challenging Behavior (195 min)
- Topic 3: Developing an Individual Support Plan (120 min)
