SBCTA's 2018
Local Government
Executive Leadership Summit
Taxpayer money never sleeps...or to put it another way, our local politicians never stop spending the taxpayers' money frivolously andin some cases recklessly.
The latest reckless and risky scheme is "Community Choice Energy" (CCE), which the County's board majority is moving full speed ahead on even though it will require county taxpayers to loan this new CCE Joint Power Authority nearly $10 MILLION for start up costs!
Several City Council's in the County are also seriously considering participating in the CCE scheme...including Carpinteria, Goleta, and of course the City of Santa Barbara.
Is this the proper role of local government? What ever happened to fixing pot holes? Have the cities and the county solved all of the other problems facing us?
Please join the Santa Barbara County Taxpayers Association September 26th, for a Local Government Executive Management Summit moderated by former County CEO Mike Brown, featuring all 8 City Managers, as well as County Administrator Mona Miyasato.
Reserve your seat(s) today!
Topics of Discussion: Community Choice Energy...Public Safety, Cannabis, Permitting Process, Taxes, Fees...
