This session provides practical suggestions for writing specific aims that appropriately describe your experimental approach and how each aim answers your larger hypothesis. To be a funded investigator, your research, aims, and strategies must be thoughtfully and compellingly presented. Regrettably, even when a project is phenomenal, there are good aims and poor aims, and the latter will kill your proposal. This session provides practical suggestions for writing specific aims that appropriately describe your experimental approach and how each aim answers your larger hypothesis --- all in 2 – 4 sentences. Our speaker, Erica Goodoff, will address any questions that might arise when preparing the aims.
