At the conclusion of this live activity the participant should be able to:
1. Describe the diabetes related nutrional complications and conditions associated with diabetes mellitus.
2. Summarize evidence based strategies for glycemic management in hospitalized patients.
3. Discuss current clinical practice recommendations and standards for the management of type 2 diabetes.
4. Summarize the implications of hypoglycemia in DM in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
5. Differentiate celiac and non-celiac gluten sensitivities and their relationship to diabetes mellitus.
