Business Taxes:
Keep your business out of trouble with the IRS

Small Business Tax Workshop - Advanced

 Wednesday, August 8, 2018

No one wants a “friendly” letter from the IRS. Taxes are an important part of starting a business and it’s not as difficult as you think! But where do you start? This is a not to be missed workshop!

Following up on our workshop in June covering tax basics, this workshop will deliver a terrific in-depth review of:

  • How to estimate your tax obligations
  • How to file and pay your taxes electronically
  • What you need to know when you run your business from your home
  • The differences between an employer and independent contractor

This FREE session will answer all of these questions and more!

Presented By: Ruth Ann Michnay, CPA, MBT, EA, USTCP

Our workshop leader is Ruth Ann Michnay, CPA, MBT, an enrolled agent, and a United States Tax Court Practitioner, has a practice in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she concentrates in tax representation, tax preparation (individual and small businesses), and accounting services/consulting. She served on the American Institute of CPAs’ Advocacy & Relations Committee (formerly IRS Practice and Procedures Committee, 2012–2015 and 2004–2007) and published articles in AICPA The Tax Adviser and the MN CPA Footnote. Ruth Ann teaches for the University of Minnesota Income Tax Course (2003 to current). She has been an adjunct professor for twelve years at Metropolitan State University and periodically for several other Universities and colleges in the area.
