Join us for a morning of fun and community service as we paddle and help clean up trash on DC's Anacostia River. As lovers of the waters, our hearts cry a little bit with each piece of trash we see floating by the boathouse.
In an effort to make some change, community and new friends, Boating in DC is partnering with the American Canoe Association to run a regular community cleanup on the Anacostia River!
Spots on Sunday, July 29 are available for up to 15 people, and there is no cost to participate. Gloves, trash bags, water, and kayaks will be provided. All you need to bring is sunscreen, a water bottle, and a can do attitude. Register now to reserve your spot!
For more information on what you'll need to bring, please go to the Boating in DC River Clean Up site. Liability forms can be completed in advance here and will also be available on site.
After the clean up, participants are invited to join us next door at The Salt Line for pints and refreshments!
See you there!
Sincerely,
Women's Aquatic Network
