Edible Adventure Crew presents: Blackberry Pick'n Day 2018!
What: Group U-Pick Blackberries along the banks of the Salmon River in Oakridge, OR
When: Sunday, August 5th at 8:15am the caravan leaves
Where: Meet at Central Oregon Locavore
1841 NE 3rd Street
Drive to Oakridge via Hwy 97 and Hwy 58
Once at Locavore, we will figure out car-pooling arrangements. If you have a vehicle with good capacity we would appreciate it if you would consider driving. Passengers, please be prepared to help pay the driver a bit for the costs of fuel. Thanks!
Who: Led by Abby Kellner-Rode, Board Member
What to bring: Water, hat, sun protection, buckets for picking (lots of buckets with a rope/string attached to hang around your neck are the best!) lunch, and money for incidentals if desired.
NOTE: We recommend wearing long sleeves, pants and bringing gloves for protection from blackberry thorns.
(We will be in the town of Oakridge which has small cafe, store and a great bike shop).
