Industrial & Geotechnical Injection Grout School
Houston | November 7-8, 2018

This school focuses on the knowledge needed to make decisions in the field, technologies and techniques for achieving maximum results, and a common sense approach to problem solving with injection of acrylic, polyurethane and cementitious grouts.

The two-day session includes both classroom instruction and workshop demonstration, and will present technical information on:

    • Fundamentals of grout chemistry
    • Soil analysis from sand to bedrock
    • Grouting underground structures
    • Curtain grouting
    • Slab lifting 
    • Proven techniques for crack injection

 Attendees will receive:
    • Credit for (10) Professional Development Hours (PDH) certified by CIGMAT 
    • SOPP certifification (Safe Operating Practices Program) 
    • Training documentation and product manuals 
    • Personalized Certificate of Completion

Brian Dorwart
Senior Associate, Brierley Associates  
Dorwart has over 40 years of small and large tunnel work experience involving geotechnical ground characterization, ground modification, loading, and soil structure interaction analysis.  His years of real life problem solving brings to light that grouting is an important tool which is used in many of these projects to control the ground.  He has successfully designed grouting programs that take into account a wide range of geologic conditions, design, available materials and skill set of the construction team.
Brian Jeppsen
Vice President, Hess Pumice  
Jeppsen began working with Hess Pumice in the 1970s. He then transitioned to the concrete industry and the oil fields, bringing exposure to various cementitious products.  After serving in the US Air Force Reserves, he returned to Hess Pumice in 1997 and currently serves as the Vice President of Research.
