     The purpose of this course is to develop a holistic and comprehensive

   understanding of the conflict. Particpants will develop conflict competency

                      and skills to more effectively address the conflict. 

                Based on the Comprehensive Conflict Coaching designed 

              by Dr. Tricia Jones, Conflict Matters, LLC, and Ross Brinkert.

ZENA ZUMETA

About  Zena Zumeta, J.D.

Internationally known as both a mediator and trainer of mediators, Zena D. Zumeta is president of the Mediation Training & Consultation Institute, Zena Zumeta Mediation Services, and The Collaborative Workplace in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School. Ms. Zumeta is a former board member and president of the Academy of Family Mediators (now merged into the Association for Conflict Resolution), past president of the Michigan Council for Family and Divorce Mediation, and past Regional Vice President of the Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution. She is a past member of the Editorial Board of the American Bar Association's Dispute Resolution Magazine.

Ms. Zumeta has extensive experience as a trainer, mediator, facilitator and consultant. She has been providing mediation services since 1981.

She is an approved civil and family mediator in Michigan, and an approved mediation trainer for Michigan and many other states. She has taught at Hamline University School of Law, and is an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University School of Law's Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, and Cooley Law School.

Ms. Zumeta is the recipient of the Family Mediation Council-Michigan Lifetime Achievement in Mediation Award; the National Education Association/Saturn Corporation Award for Union-Management Collaboration; the John Haynes Distinguished Mediator Award from the Association for Conflict Resolution; and the Kumba Award from the National Conference on Minorities in ADR.

 About  JAMES H. LONDON, J.D.

James H. London is a partner at London & Amburn, LLC, in Knoxville, TN.

Mr. London practices in the areas of medical malpractice, products liability and civil trials. He co-chairs the firm’s Medical Malpractice Defense and Products Liability Defense practice groups. He is a Master in the American Inns of Court, and an approved mediator for both the United States District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee and the Tennessee Supreme Court. Mr. London is a Distinguished Fellow in the International Academy of Mediators, a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN), and a member of the Tennessee Academy of Mediators and Arbitrators (TAMA). He has served as a Hearing Examiner for the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility, as a member of the Tennessee Bar Association House of Delegates; Chairman of the Inter-Disciplinary Relations Committee for both the Tennessee and Knoxville Bar Associations, and has been a member of the Board of Governors of the Knoxville Bar Association and a Fellow of the Knoxville Bar Foundation. Mr. London has been awarded the very highest distinction (A.V.) in Martindale-Hubbell’s legal ratings. He has personally appeared in court in Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and New York.


Mr. London has also served on the Boards of the American Heart Association, Helen Ross McNabb Center, Knox Area Rescue Ministries, Inc., Lake Forest Presbyterian Church and the InterFaith Health Clinic. He has served as treasurer for Congressman John J. Duncan, Jr., and various state trial judges. Mr. London frequently lectures to physician and trial lawyer groups and is an honorary member of the Eastern Association of Trauma Surgeons. He is designated as Who’s Who in American Law, Tennessee Best Lawyers, Mid South Super Lawyers, and Best Lawyers in America.
