       Welcome to Alderbrook!

You are invited to the 2018 Washington State Employment First Leadership ForumThe purpose of the invitation is to intentionally gather a diverse mix of leaders from all aspects of the WA State developmental disabilities employment community. This invitation is for you and you only.

At the event, our time together will allow us to analyze current issues, brainstorm emerging opportunities and set goals and action steps to maintain a progressive agenda around the expansion of competitive integrated employment. We will take time to discuss and plan for the implementation of new federal policies while engaging our communities to plan to meet the demand for increasing employment outcomes and meeting the needs of individuals and employers. We have an interesting opportunity to convene a dynamic and engaged group to chart the course for the future.

This group of around 150 participants includes some leaders and opinion makers who bring wisdom and experience from a long-time commitment to our efforts, with a heavy focus on those who have more recently shown a dedication and enthusiasm for the important work that lies ahead.

As Alderbrook participants, please be guided by the two-day agenda that will:

  • Reflect the values that we have collectively espoused over the past three decades
  • Emphasize the required leadership development to continue our investment over the next several decades, and
  • Clearly define our next steps as an employment community both for the short and long term.
