Local city officials, Emergency Managers and others are encouraged to attend and receive a Membership List of Agencies that are ready to help you with your response. Continental breakfast served.
What is Collin County VOAD?
Collin County VOAD is a network of agencies working together to foster efficient delivery of resources to people affected by disasters. The role is to support its members’ efforts by providing a forum to facilitate Coordination, Communication, Cooperation & Collaboration.
COORDINATION: Coordinates policy among member organizations, serves as the state liaison, advocate & voice to the State VOAD & supports the disaster response efforts of federal, state, local agencies & government.
COMMUNICATION: Encourages participation of agencies throughout the county and gives support to local volunteer organizations active in disaster response.
COOPERATION: Meets Collin County’s relief & recovery needs within a cooperative framework.
COLLABORATION: Provides training to members to increase awareness & preparedness for each organization.
Some of the CC VOAD Members May Provide:
Donated Goods and Clothing,Elderly/Special Needs, Child Care/Children’s Services,General Family Assistance, Building and Repair, Building Materials, Management of Volunteers, Language Interpreters,Family Counseling, Distribution Point, On-site feeding,Sheltering, Canteen to 1st responders, Debris Removal, Temporary Housing, Information & Referral, Skilled Labor, Disaster Volunteer Training, Casework Responsibilities, Spiritual Care, Damage Assessment, Communications, Emergency Operations Center Liaison and Long Term Recovery.
