Foundation Level Seminar Series: Self-Defense Course 

This self-defense course is part of the Foundation Level Seminar Series for Ohio's Community Action Agencies. The training is free to OACAA members.

The course will teach the limitations and know-how to apply applicable safety steps and will create useful preventative maintenance techniques within the restrictions of the environment and personal abilities. Attendees will learn and practice tools of defense including proper attacking mechanics, and will work in close quarter tactics that require a physical response to defend and escape scenarios including those involving a weapon attack.

PLEASE NOTE: This course will NOT involve teaching a student how to use a weapon.

WHO: Open to OACAA members in good standing only. Limited to 50 people.

COST: Free to OACAA members

WHEN: The course will run from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. after which lunch will be provided. 

WHAT TO WEAR: All participants should dress comfortably in active wear and tennis shoes. Physical activity will be required.
