to any Westchester Class participant who purchases their FIRST handgun at BLUELINE,
as well as FREE storage of this handgun until your permit arrives.

Lesson must be scheduled within THREE months of license being issued.

Blueline will conduct a Westchester County Pistol/Revolver Licensing and Basic Safety Class on
Thursday, DECEMBER 8, 2018 from 5:00pm until 9:30pm

BLUELINE STORE STAFF WILL PROVIDE:
- assistance in selection of a pistol for your intended purpose

CLASS FEES:
The cost of this class is $200.
- Passport photos for the NYS application are NOT included in the cost of the class.

NEW YORK LICENSE INFORMATION:
- Applicable fees required upon submission of the application to the Westchester County Pistol Licensing Unit include: $10 processing fee, $10 photo fee (although you must bring 4 printed passport photos), $105.25 for criminal background check / electronic fingerprinting.
- The application must be submitted in person by appointment. Blueline does NOT arrange the appointment and has NO influence over the permitting process.
PLEASE NOTE:
New York State residents must submit their New York pistol/revolver license application to the pistol licensing department of the county in which they maintain their primary residence.
A pistol/revolver license issued in Westchester County is valid throughout New York state EXCEPT in NEW YORK CITY.
Although taught by an NRA-certified instructor with NRA-developed materials, this class is NOT a substitute for the online-ONLY NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Phase 1, which, as of MAY 15, 2016, the NRA requires for issuance of an NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting certificate.
The letters of completion provided by this class are currently accepted in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland and Dutchess counties: an NRA certificate is NOT required. Moreover, the NRA online-ONLY Phase 1 class does not address any of the peculiarities of NYS gun law.
Residents outside of Westchester, Putnam, Rockland and Dutchess counties should consult with their county's permitting office before taking this class.
FIRST HANDGUN PURCHASE:
NYS law mandates that an individual OWN a handgun at the time of handgun license application submission. The serial number of ALL handguns owned is imprinted on the back of an individual's license. However, as the law also requires that an individual have a current, valid license to POSSESS a handgun, an individual must contract with an FLL to store their handgun until they receive the license. As an FFL, Blueline offers storage of handguns for persons awaiting their license.
Firearm storage at Blueline is $50 for six months.
For persons who take this class AND purchase their first handgun from Blueline, this fee is waived. This is in addition to the FREE PRIVATE RANGE LESSON noted above. In the event your permit is denied, Blueline will assess a 20% restocking fee on the repossession of your firearm. Firearm purchases are NOT refundable nor exchangeable.
ALTERNATIVE TO LIVE FIRE INSTRUCTION:
Due to the requirements of NYS law noted above: there is NO live fire instruction provided in this class.
For persons awaiting their handgun license, instruction is offered on our Ti Simulator, an interactive law enforcement training tool which uses actual firearms that have been modified with so as not to shoot bullets but to maintain the sound and recoil of a real firearm. Training modules to practice marksmanship while awaiting one's license are available.
Blueline offers a full range of live fire instruction to persons who have a handgun license.
