Statt your Festival weekend with a tour of the Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens.The Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is a 170-acre zoo, aquarium, and botanical garden located along the Saluda River in Columbia, SC. One of America's best zoos, Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is home to more than 2000 animals and one of the nation's most inspiring botanical gardens

SC Statehouse

Spend time Saturday, November 10 at the unique SC State House . Our tour is a bargain at $10. Only three blockc away, its an easy walk. Or take out hotel shuttle. 

Tour the historic State House, where the SC state legislature met. It survived Sherman's 1865 burning of Columbia, though the structure did suffer damage from shelling and burning of the nearby old statehouse. Following the Civil War, between 1869 and 1874, it was the only state legislature in American history with an African American majority.  Each tour is preceded with the viewing of a 15 minute DVD on the history and architecture of the State House.

Friday. Once you're back from your Zoo Tour, freshen up and head for the Presidents Circle Dinner, 5:30-7:00pm, Friday, November 9th, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, sponsored by the President's Circle. Your dinner includes: Ten-Spice Chicken Breast, Green Onion Slaw, Warm Dijon Vinaigrette, Smashed Redshin Potatoes, Haricot Verts, biscuits with honey & butter, tea and your choice of Triple Layer Chocolate Cake or Lemon Layer Cake. Price $25 inclusive.    At 7:00pm, the Carolinas District Semifinals Quartet Contest gets underway.  See the top ten and new challengers perform a two-song set: Cap off the evening at 10pm with the Afterglow.  Entrance included with registration.  Cash Bar.

Saturday is yours to learn, sing and enjoy Columbia. Learn what's going on at the 8am General Session and get your voices warmed up. Start with the 11 am Mass Sing at the Convention Center Plaza. Stay for Barbershop in the Park and hear more quartets as they saunter uo and down Lincoln Street, or return to the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center to attend Classes or receive Coaching. Speaking of classes, we'v e revamped the offerings to include two hot new topics: the Bel Canto Buzz  and Everyone in Harmony. On the tour scene, check out the State House Tour ($10) at 1pm.. Get back in plenty of timef or the 4:30pm  Ensemble and Mixed Quartet Contests.
