Join us for this two-day training that is designed to strengthen your current skill set or add new tools to your inventory. In this two-day training, you will increase your current understating of Conscious DisciplineŽ, the highly effective social emotional curriculum to support work with children, families, and Early Head Start/Head Start programs.
Conscious DisciplineŽ promotes permanent behavior changes in both adults and children. The paradigm of change is from a traditional compliance model of discipline relying on lower brain center approaches of threat and force to a relationship-based community model that relies on higher-order thinking skills.
This training is intended for everyone: Early Head Start/Head Start Administrators, Coaches, Teachers, Teacher Assistants, and Family Engagement Staff.
As a result of this training, participants will be able to increase the fidelity of their implementation of Conscious Discipline throughout their Early Head Start/Head Start program.
Participants will learn about the Conscious DisciplineŽ brain model that will not only help adults maintain self-control but teach it to all children, including those with special needs.
Participants will become familiar with the 7 Powers and Skills and structures of Conscious DisciplineŽ, and learn how to incorporate these into classrooms to move from “consciously decorating” to consciously implementing Conscious DisciplineŽ.
