 Yale Architectural Walking Tour & Presentation!!!

 

 The Southern New England NKBA Chapter invites you to explore the beauty of a world famous institution right in your own backyard!  Join us as we embark on an (optional) hosted walking tour of Yale University’s campus where our eyes will delight with a style of architecture seldom seen anymore. This is an opportunity to look up from the computer screens and see history in action!

Once the walking tour concludes, we will retire to Rudolph Hall where drinks and hors d’oeuvres await. We will then be given a presentation on Yale’s historical architecture from Yale Architecture professor- Michael "Surry" Schlabs!!

 

Professor Schlabs

 

 

Speaker: Professor MIchael "Surry" Schlabs

Professor Schlabs received both BA and M. Arch. degrees from Yale.  During his time in architecture school he applied a longstanding interest in collaborative and experiential learning to his work as teaching assistant in the School of Architectue and in the HIstory of Art and Political Science departments.  Before returning to Yale for his PHD "Surry" worked for several years in and around New Haven, serving as project manager and designer at both Gray Oranschi Architecture and the Yale Urban Design Workshop.
