YOUNG ADULT FALL RETREAT

FAITH and Politics

Understanding our beliefs, responsibilities, rights and privlileges as Orthodox Christians. Does our Faith play a role in how we interact with a secular government? Understanding how Faith should illumine our decision-making in everything, including Politics. As Orthodox Christians, we believe in God and the words of St. Paul: "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore he who resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment."         --Romans 13:1-2

The American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese, the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh Y2AM and the Ukrainian Orthodox League invite Young Adults to come retreat to Camp Nazareth for a weekend with other Orthodox Young Adults from all jurisdictions.

Our Keynote Speakers will be Metropolitan-elect Gregory of Nyssa,  Fr. Stephen Loposky of the American Carpatho-Russian Diocese and Fr. Nicholas Halkias of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh.

The weekend event will be filled with fellowship, worship, learning, time for reflection, rejuvenation and of course, fun! To register, click below.

Financial-need Scholarships may be available through your home parish or diocese. If you need assistance, please contact Fr.
