The 2018 Central NY Adult Immunization Coalition Meeting 

Join us on October 12, 2018 at the Holiday Inn, Syracuse-Liverpool.  This is a no fee meeting with morning coffee/tea and lunch included.

This year's Meeting will feature:

• NYSDOH Adult Immunization Updates
• CDC Adult Immunization Updates
• Successful Immunization Rates for LTC Residents and Health Care Workers

• What's New in Vaccines? A 2018 Update
• Stage IV HPV Throat Cancer Survivor

Registration/sign-in opens at 8:00 am and the welcome/opening remarks will begin at 8:30 am. 

Meeting Objectives

1. Participants will be able to describe the standards for adult vaccination and describe the Vaccines for Adults Program for uninsured and underinsured eligible adults.
2. Attendees will be able to describe new vaccine recommendations.
3. Attendees will describe strategies to increase immunization rates for LTCF staff and residents.
4. Attendees will describe the development and managment of the mumps outbreak at Syracuse University.
5. Attendees will list the steps required and general timeline needed to move a preclinical vaccine idea to a vaccine that is available for widespread use.
6. Participants will be able to describe methods to educate patients on the importance of completing the HPV series.

Continuing Education Credits
Continuing education credits are available for this meeting.  You are only able to recieve credits commensurate with your participation.   See the agenda for more details.
