President Woodrow Wilson House

Come early for the 6:00pm VIP reception, featuring a special conversation and Q & A with renowned musician Davey Yarborough and several celebrated music historians. The distinguished guests will talk about African American music of Wilson’s era, music history, and the elements of early jazz and ragtime. The house will then open for VIP ticket holders to tour areas of the house that will not be open during the main event.

7:00 – 9:00 General Admission includes a wonderful program and performance by Davey Yarborough and his band of young performers who unveil an original arrangement transporting audiences through a continuum of African American music from ragtime and jazz to other styles such as blues and go-go.

The music continues with 1920s hits played by the Foggy Bottom Whomp Stompers. Vintage attire inspired by African American early 20th century music is encouraged. We expect to sell out so dust off your dancing shoes and get your tickets on line early!

VIP reception 6pm - 7pm
